The Analyst is responsible for identifying potential clients and consultants and managing advisory assignments with clients for both the Women in Business Programme (WiB) in BiH and for other SMEs in BiH under the Bank’s Advice for Small Businesses. The Analyst will work with the clients to identify their business needs and identify areas for business advice, develop the scope of advisory projects and identify suitable consultants or experts for the assignments. He/she will manage projects through the stages of conception, implementation, completion and impact evaluation. He/she will also coordinate with partner financial institutions that provide financing for women-led businesses under the WiB Programme to ensure a project pipeline. He/she will also coordinate market development activities such as meetings, training, and workshops.
 
Accountabilities & Responsibilities 
  • Identify and pursue potential clients who meet the qualifying criteria, contributing to ASB and banking business development.
  • Proactively diagnose clients’ business needs, identify priority areas for business advice and help them to identify suitably qualified consultants.
  • Together with the client and selected consultant, develop the terms of reference and project proposal in line with ASB best practices.
  • Manage project implementation and client relationship.
  • Evaluate completed projects in accordance with established methodology in order to assess impact and provide analytical input for further analysis.
  • Identify new local consultants and manage relations with existing consultants and organisations.
  • Implement marketing and visibility activities to promote ASB and the WiB Programme and the funding donor/s in the country.
  • Contribute to the development of internal and donor reports.
  • Coordinate with local partner banks concerning the implementation of the WiB credit lines in terms of delivery of a pipeline of projects (from advisory to financing).
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
 
Education/Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Finance etc.) and/or equivalent business experience
Experience
  • Knowledge of local business environment, SMEs and consultancy market.
  • Relevant professional experience, preferably from international financial institutions or donor organisation or international support programme, commercial management consultancy, corporates or bank.
  • Experience in working with SMEs would be desirable, especially those with a gender component.
  • Relevant experience in designing and organizing visibility and promotion activities would be an additional asset.
Skills
  • A strong understanding of SMEs and their  needs for growth and development
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong writing skills are needed.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in language of country of operations.
  • Computer literate: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point, ability to learn new systems quickly.
General 
  • Ability to work in team and multi-cultural environment.
  • Multi-tasking, showing self-initiative.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the country.
