Security supervisor (m/f)

Position: Security supervisor

Location: Kuwait

Responsibilities:

• Security supervisor evaluates performance of security personnel and advises on any improvement measures required
• Conducts daily briefing for security officers
• Conducts regular training for security personnel
• Conducts weekly mock drills involving security personnel for medical emergencies, fire, power shutdown etc.
• Checks log books/reports, etc to confirm conformity to relevant standards
• Submits daily reports through the security log report to the security operation manager
• Under the guidance of the security operation manager, co-ordinates with external police agencies in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, etc.
• Is familiar with all procedures related to fire prevention and evacuation and to ensure prompt decision making in line with the safety and security procedures
• Is fully responsible for all equipment for the duration of his/her duty and responsible for ensuring a full handover of all such equipment is undertaken with the incoming shift supervisor
• Performs all duties common to security officer and any other tasks as stipulated by his/her operation manager 

Qualification

• Matriculation (bos. SSS-Srednja stručna sprema)
• Certified security training

Experience
Essential

• Minimum of 8 years experience in the security industry
• Minimum of 3 years security supervision experience

Desirable

• Industrial security background
• Military/Police experience
• Event security
• Investigation experience
• Experience working in GCC
• First Aid

Selection competency

• Ability to demonstrate in depth knowledge of security principles and relevant legislation that surrounds the position
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels 
• Strong knowledge of computer based programs MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
• Ability to work under pressure, keeping calm in emergency situations 
• Previous experience in customer service environment 
• Strong leadership, decision making and organizational skills
• Knowledge of security systems including:

CCTV
Fire fighting
Explosives detection
Access control
PIDS/IDS

Other skils:

• Risk management
• Crisis management
• Risk analysis skills
• Negotiation skills
• Basic fire fighting
• First aid training
• Evacuation planning
• Investigation skills
• Good oral and written communication skills in English skills, additional option is Arabic language
