Job Title: Veterinary Coordinator
Reporting to: Head of Representative Office in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Neutering & Training Officer
Location: Dogs Trust Representative Office in B-H, Sarajevo
Dogs Trust is a world renowned UK-based animal welfare charity which specializes in the well-being of dogs. A multi-year project in Bosnia-Herzegovina, officially launched in October of 2012, will work closely with local stakeholders in establishing a self-sustainable dog population management system through several different local and national programmes.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Representative Office in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Neutering & Training Officer, Veterinary Coordinator will be responsible for the supervision of mass and subsidized sterilization of dogs conducted at Veterinary Clinics and will participate and monitor Dogs Trust training for veterinarians.
Main Duties:
- Supervision of mass and subsidized sterilization in order to follow the local laws on the protection and welfare of animals as well as Dog Trust SOP
- Participation and monitoring Dogs Trust training for veterinarians
- Participation in educational activities
- Participation in the activities of the Marketing and Communication
- Education and training of other veterinary coordinators
- Coordination and supervision of other veterinary coordinators who supervise mass neutering activities throughout B-H
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
Qualification:
- Relevant university degree
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (5 years of relevant experience would be an asset)
- Valid driving license
- Willing to travel and work in regions throughout BiH
- Working knowledge of English language
- Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages
The position is a full-time, permanent (for the duration of the Project), with a trial period of six months.
